SAAF Meeting Minutes: 13th June 2014

Attached are the papers discussed at the last SAAF meeting on 13th June 2014, along with the minutes from the last meeting.

It was agreed to circulate various documents, and the list of documents is below:

  • The Youth Sport Strategy can be found here.
  • There is also a report available about the impact on sport should independence come to Scotland, which can be found here.
  • Information on the use of Forestry Commission land for orienteering events can be found here.
  • There is a consultation currently open with the Forestry Commission, which seeks your views on the District Strategic Plans for management and delivery of benefits from Scotland’s National Forest Estate (NFE).
  • The Scottish Sports Association engages with a wide range of consultations, and if you would like to see more, you can click here.
  • The Outline of Scope Review for the Adventure Activities regulations for SAAF
  • The timings and actions of the work to be done around the Adventure Activities legislation in Scotland – please note that we are in the final process of sorting out the funding from the Scottish Government on this topic, so the dates of the SG proposal timings and actions are slightly out.
