Draft submission to the Land Reform Review Group from the National Access Forum

Feedback any comments to Jonathan Kitching, who is on the circulation for this report.

To all members of the NAF correspondence network,

As you’ll be aware, the National Access Forum is currently developing a submission to the Land Reform Review Group (LRRG) regarding Part 1 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003. The content of this submission was discussed at the last regular NAF meeting and at a specially convened meeting, involving a smaller group of members, which took place in December. The latter meeting considered an early draft of the forum’s submission, which has now been revised in the light of this discussion. I’ve attached the latest version – and any comments on this draft would be very welcome.

We will need to complete this submission to a very tight timescale, and would like to revise the draft again in time for discussion at the forthcoming NAF meeting on 30 January, then finalise it very quickly thereafter so that it can be passed to the LRRG at the beginning of February. With apologies for the fast turnaround, could I therefore ask for any comments on this draft by close of play on Wednesday 22 January? Although Rob has now taken over the role of NAF Secretary, I will be concluding the development of this submission, along with some other areas of the forum’s work that are already underway – so I’d be grateful if you could forward your comments to me, copied to Rob (address as above).

I would of course be very happy to have a word (about either the draft or the process) if that would be helpful, but please note that I’ll be out of the office for the next few days, returning on Tuesday 21 January.

With best wishes to all,

Mark Wrightham (for the National Access Forum)
