The Telegraph: The school giving lessons in bushcraft

Sitting in a remote valley in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria, Southern Australia – a two-hour drive from Melbourne and over a mile to the nearest public road – Timbertop is the 800 acre term-time home of over 200 13-14 year olds. While the school does provide a typical academic curriculum, outdoor education is at the heart of the programme and pupils camp for between 50 and 55 nights of the year, often undertaking challenging hikes in the Alpine National Park.
