Residential Outdoor Education Bill Update

The past month has seen a number of significant parliamentary committee sessions, debates and decisions by Scottish Government which has resulted in the Bill moving to Stage 2.

9th September – A debate in Scottish Parliament as part of members business – Celebrating Residential Outdoor Education for Young People

10th September – Education, Children and Young People Committee – Natalie Don-Innes attended the committee to update on issues around the progress of the Bill and particularly around the financial resolution.

24th September – A motion for the financial resolution was lodged and then passed by parliament on 25th September allowing the Bill to proceed to Stage 2.
